How the "Champions for Charity" Grant Works
To ensure our focus remains on the game and the community, we’ve streamlined how tournament winnings are handled. Here is a simple breakdown of the process:
• Play for the Win: Teams compete for the top spot on the leaderboard as usual.
• Select Your Cause: The winning team in each division earns the right to direct a pre-set charitable grant to an organization of their choice.
• Verified Impact: To ensure the funds do the most good, the chosen recipient must be a registered non-profit, school program, or community youth organization.
• Direct Donation: Once the champion is crowned, the tournament organizers will issue the donation directly to the selected organization in the team's name.
Note: To maintain the spirit of youth sports and amateur eligibility, no cash prizes or financial compensation are awarded directly to individual players, coaches, or parents.
FAQ: Quick Answers for Parents & Coaches
Can we choose any charity?
Yes, as long as it is a registered non-profit or a recognized community organization (such as a local food bank, youth shelter, or school athletic fund).
Does the money go to the players?
No. 100% of the designated prize pool is paid directly to the chosen organization to support their mission.
What if we don’t have a charity in mind?
Don’t worry! We have a list of incredible local partners we can recommend if your team wins and would like suggestions.
