What’s a former BC Lion and 49er—now a sports dad of two—do on a sunny weekend in Vancouver? Grab the kids, head to Kits Beach, and jump into Kitsfest—where the sand meets the sideline and sports dreams start to feel real.

Redzone Football was built on one simple idea: “It’s all about snaps—the more, the better.” What began as a way to help a young QB named Ty handle pressure and play in the tightest part of the field—the red zone—has evolved into a beachside battleground featuring some of B.C.’s best: the Philpots, Cummings, Roberts, Benefield, and Hennessy.

Kitsfest isn’t your typical sports day. It’s elite hoops, beach volleyball, and tennis right by the ocean. It’s sunshine, competition, and that one last rep before fall. Redzone isn’t just a game—it’s a vibe, a tradition, and a celebration of sport, family, and community.
